Pendidikan Abad 21
Pendidikan dunia abad ke-21, menghendaki segala aktivitas pendidikan diorientasikan kepada:
Pertama: Learning how to think (belajar bagaimana berfikir), dengan mendasarkan kesepahaman bahwa manusia adalah makhluk berpikir/berbudaya (homo sapiens) maka proses perkembangan kemampuan berpikirnya harus diolah sejak dini dan berkesinambungan sehingga mencapai tingkat peradaban tertinggi dalam sejarah pemikiran manusia
Kedua: Learning how to do (belajar bagaimana berbuat). Menindak lanjuti kesetaraan kemampuan berpikir, diharapkan segala hasil pemikiran yang berkembang menjadi teori atau kaidah keilmuan terus merujuk kepada kreasi bersama seluruh bangsa sehingga tingkat peradaban melenium kini adalah milik bangsa-bangsa seluruh dunia
Ketiga: Learning How to be (belajar bagaimana menjadi diri sendiri). peningkatan kualitas berpikir dan berbuat dalam skala global tetap memperhatikan ciri khas masing-masing bangsa. Spesifikasi karakteristik antar bangsa seperti inilah yang diharapkan membuat dunia menjadi penuh warna yang indah
Keempat: Learning How to learn (belajar bagaimana belajar). Belajar dari pengalaman yang sudah lewat merupakan aksentuasi dari makna di atas. Segala aktifitas pendidikan harus mampu menghasilkan manusia yang pandai mensyukuri sejarah kemanusiaan
Kelima: Learning how to life together (belajar bagaimana hidup bersama). Titik kulminasi visi pendidikan dunia abad ke-21 adalah bagaimana masyarakat dunia antar bangsa dapat hidup bersama dengan penuh toleransi dan damai.

THE MOON HAS FALLEN
Nothing to say, the rain drifted my words away
No place to stay, the love was taken away
The moon has fallen, the heart has broken
I’m here, fighting against my own demon
The fight of good and bad,
Happy and sad
Love and hate,
But I think it’s too late….
Looks like the demons win,
They’re laughing loud on my sins
Now I’m waiting for forgiveness
From you, not from others
Thousands rivers won’t be enough to wash me
From my sins, and from all the demons in me

The Example of Analytical Exposition
Integrated Pest Management
There is no best way to deal with pests in agriculture. Pesticides are commonly used, but they may cause many problems. Combining diffrent management operations is the most effective way to controls pests.
First of all, the chemicals in pesticides may build up as residues to the environment. They reduce the quality of farm harvest.
Moreover, pest can gradually become resistant to pesticides as well. It means that newer and sometimes storenger pesticides have to be developed.
Some pesticides also affect non targetted animals such as fish and bees. In the end, it affects the natural balance.
Additionally, completely wiping out agriculture pests may be expensive. Sometimes pest damage costs than method of control.
Therefore, integrated pest management is a safe and more effective option in agriculture.
Analytical Exposition
Social function of the Analytical Exposition is to persuade the readers or the listeners that something in the case, to analyze or to explain.
Generic structure:

- Thesis ( usually includes a preview argument. It introduces topics and indicates the writer's position)
- Arguments (consists of a point and elaboration sequence. The number of points may vary, but each must be supported by discussion and evidence)
- Reiteration ( restates the position more forcefully in the light of the arguments presented)
- emotive words such as; alarmed, worried
- words the quality statements such as, usual probably
- words that link arguments such as; firstly, however, on the other side, therefore
- usually use present tense
- compound and complex sentences
- using modals, general and abstract nouns
Narrative Text
The purpose of Narrative text is to entertain listeners or readers with a true experience or an imaginary one. The characteristic of the text is marked by conflict and resolution. a narrative story is written from the writer's point of view and can include the writer's feelings and view point on a certain event. The narrative texts may include folktales, myths, legends, etc.
Basically, narrative text is devided into the three parts, namely:
- Orientation : sets the scene and introduces the participants
- Complication : crisis of the problem/crisis arises
- Resolution : solve of the problem, for better or worse
Lexicogrammatical features:
- focus on specific participants
- use of materials processes
- use of relational and mental processes
- use of temporal conjunction and temporal circumstances
- use of past tense

The Example of Narrative Text
The Smartest Parrot
Once upon time, a man had a wonderfull parrot. There was no other parrot like it. The parrot could say every word, except one word. The parrot would not say the name of the palace where itborn. The name of the palace was Catano.
The man felt excited having the smartest parrot but he could not understand why the parrot would not say Catano. the man tried to teach the bird to say Catano but the bird still would not say the word.
At first, the man was very nice to the bird but then he got very angry. 'You stupid bird!" pointed the man to the parrot. 'Why can't you say the word? Say catano! Or I will kill you" the man said angrily. Although he tried to teach, the parrot would not says the word. Then the man got so angry and shouted to the bird over and over; "Say Catano or I'll kill you" However the bird still refused to say the word of Catano.
One day after he had been trying so many times to make the bird say Catano, the man really got very angry. He could not bear it. He picked the parrot and threw it into the chicken coop where there were four old chickens for the next dinner. "You're as stupid as the chickens. Just stay with them". Sid the man angrily. Then he continued to mumble; "You know, I will cut the chickens for my meal. Next it will be your turn, I will eat you too, stupid parrot." After that he left the chicken coop.
The next day the man came back to the chicken coop. He oppened the door and was very surprised. He could not believe what he saw at the chicken coop. There were three dead chickens on the floor. At the moment, the parrot was standing proudly and screaming at the last old chicken; "Say Catano or I'll kill you."
